Library Security Officer Muskogee-F/T

Muskogee Public Library (MPL) is looking for a motivated Library Security Officer that strives to deliver the highest quality of security and customer service to MPL staff, patrons and guests. Security officers ensure all proper procedures and rules are followed by monitoring and patrolling library property and responding to emergency situations.

JOB SUMMARY

Provides a safe and secure environment for all library patrons and assigned staff, protecting both individuals and the library's physical assets. Proactively identifies potential security risks or disruptions and works with patrons or staff to resolve issues. Responds to emergency situations within the library building, on library grounds, and in parking areas. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • One year of relevant security, law enforcement or related military experience.
  • CLEET certification eligible or active CLEET certified preferred. at the level appropriate to the assignment (unarmed); must meet CLEET continuous education requirements.

Compensation: Ranging between $15.00 and $18.00 per hour

Schedule: 40 hours per week, includes some evenings and Saturdays.
