We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Quality Inspector for a precision manufacturing environment where tight tolerances, accuracy, and accountability are critical. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who understands that quality is not just about checking parts, but about helping ensure the entire production process stays aligned with standards.

This role requires strong measurement capability, a high level of independence, and the ability to support production in a fast-paced machining environment. The right person will be confident verifying tight-tolerance parts, communicating issues clearly, and maintaining a high standard of quality throughout the shop.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who takes ownership of quality, works with urgency and accuracy, and wants to play an important role in a high-performance manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-process and final inspections on machined components
  • Accurately measure parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, bore gauges, and other precision inspection tools
  • Use CMM equipment as needed
  • Verify part conformance to blueprints, basic GD&T requirements, and tight tolerances
  • Document inspection results and nonconformances accurately in ERP
  • Communicate quality issues clearly and promptly to production
  • Support and maintain calibration of inspection equipment, tooling, gauges, and related records
  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions as needed
  • Support first article inspections and ongoing production quality checks
  • Maintain a clean, organized inspection area
  • Work closely with machinists and production to ensure quality standards are consistently met

Requirements:

  • Experience in a CNC machining or manufacturing quality role preferred
  • Strong proficiency with precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and thread gauges
  • Ability to accurately measure and verify tight tolerances, including ±.003" typical and ±.0005" not uncommon
  • Basic GD&T required
  • Weld symbol knowledge is a plus
  • CMM experience is a plus
  • Experience with tooling and gauge calibration preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Dependable, accountable, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with production teams
  • Able to stand 8 to 10 hours, lift 40+ pounds occasionally, and work overtime as required

What We Offer:

  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • Paid medical and life insurance for full-time permanent employees
  • Opportunities for advancement and continued skill development
  • A high-performance environment focused on quality and continuous improvement

Bottom Line:

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of quality, understands tight-tolerance machining, and can confidently uphold standards in a fast-moving shop environment.

Big picture, this version is stronger because it still feels thorough, but it reads more cleanly and posts better.
