Job Title: Payroll Administrator Employment Type: Contract Work Hours: 40 hrs./week Work site: Hybrid Location: Melville, NY
BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides customer service to associates over the phone and through emails and completes all data entry for new hires. Performs manual data entry for tax changes as well as special pays to associates and distributes incoming mail as well as outgoing payroll statements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process pay data changes and calculate retroactive payments.
Input Workforce adjustments for historical purposes.
Review timesheet exception reports in Workforce and contact managers for changes.
Submit and monitor garnishments and lien process with ADP WGPS.
Work with associates to answer questions through the payroll hotline and payroll email inbox.
Sort, file and distribute reports, checks, and pay statements received from ADP.
Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
Process special pays for associates including but not limited to referrals, sign on bonuses, relocations, jury mileages refunds.
Generate reports, using ADP Reporting, to provide information to internal customers.
Responsible for all interfaces and data uploads related to new hires and direct deposits.
Perform manual data entry for changes in W-4's, or state tax forms.
Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or the equivalent is required.
Minimum of one year automated payroll experience is required.
Knowledge of Excel and word required.
SKILLS:
Computer literacy and proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software is required.
Good customer service, oral and written communications skills are also required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 5% of the time may be required.
JOB SCHEDULE:
9am-5pm, 8:00am-4:30pm, etc. (typically 9 - 5pm with an hour lunch)
Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
