Admissions Records Specialist
Enrollment Management on the Tahlequah Campus
JOBSUMMARY
Thisposition performs specialized duties in support of the maintenance of studentrecords.
MAJOR DUTIES
Evaluates admission applications; examines transcripts, test scores, and documents for potential students.
Posts and maintains student academic information.
Answers the telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance; refers to appropriate personnel.
Scans documents.
Notifies students of admission status and of missing documents.
Maintains admission hold on student records.
Prepares specialized reports.
Maintains the admissions procedure manual.
Downloads and prints transcripts.
Downloads electronic applications and disburses them to the appropriate campus.
Evaluates and processes transfer credit for approval; evaluates academic transcripts and records.
Performs related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORYCONTROLS
The supervisor assigns work in terms of generalinstructions. The supervisor spot-checks completed work for compliance withprocedures, accuracy, and the nature and propriety of the final results.

Guidelines include university policies and procedures. Theseguidelines are generally clear and specific, but may require someinterpretation in application.
COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK
The work consists of related specialized duties. Frequent interruptions contribute to the complexity of the position.
The purpose of this position is to provide specialized support for the maintenance of student records. Success in this position contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of office operations.

Contacts are typically with co-workers, other university personnel, faculty, staff, students, prospective students, and members of the general public.
Contacts are typically to give or exchange information, to resolve problems, or to provide services.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or table or while intermittently sitting, standing or stooping. The employee occasionally lifts light and heavy objects.
The work is typically performed in an office.
SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENTRESPONSIBILITY
Thisposition may have direct supervision over assigned personnel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Three years of related workexperience preferred.
Annual salary of $31,116.00 with excellent benefits, including generous leave time.
