Position Overview

The Night Shift Production Supervisor will enhance production results through commitment and accountability. You will be responsible for achieving budgeted performance standards across all lines, meeting production objectives, minimizing downtime, and maintaining efficiency. Partnering with maintenance, you will ensure proper operations and program adherence, while cultivating knowledge-sharing within the team. Your role includes implementing sustainable systems for improved production efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Consistently drive enhancements in line performance, reduce downtime, and improve changeover times, effectively communicating mechanical insights to team members.
• Conduct daily briefs, reports, and meetings to synchronize plans, address safety items, cross-train staff, and uphold quality compliance.
• Understand both short-term and long-range production goals to align with the production schedule.
• Continuously update and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Plan and execute efficient line startups and maintain cleanliness of all equipment.
• Implement a comprehensive training matrix to document employee development and ensure training effectiveness.
• Lead shift-end meetings to relay essential information for operational flow.
• Participate in projects related to capital improvements, new product launches, and issue investigations.
• Drive safety initiatives and lead process improvement teams for operational efficiency.
• Develop operational knowledge of plant systems and equipment necessary for efficient plant operation.
• Clearly communicate expectations, monitor team performance, and address inefficiencies through coaching and feedback.
• Perform other duties as required by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience) with at least four years in a production or engineering role.
• Demonstrated leadership in a fast-paced production environment is essential.
• Experience in food/beverage manufacturing is preferred.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, & Outlook) with a willingness to learn new software.
• Knowledge of operational electrical and mechanical systems is advantageous, alongside troubleshooting and Lean Manufacturing expertise.
• Familiarity with SQF standards and a commitment to food safety/quality.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities, especially under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work alternate shifts to accommodate production needs.

• Continuous standing or walking required.
• Regular need for moderate attention using visual and sensory skills.
• Repetitive work environment.
• Ability to work in both hot and cold seasonal conditions.
