Role Description

The Direct Sales Representative is tasked with driving the growth of active, paying residential customers in a given market through direct, door-to-door interactions. This role primarily targets individual residential homes and may also involve engaging with multiple dwelling units (MDUs). Embracing an entrepreneurial spirit, you will work outdoors, moving from house to house to achieve your sales goals. You'll collaborate closely with your team leader and fellow team members, building strong relationships and continuously seeking innovative ways to enhance sales techniques.

Job Duties

  • Communicate the Cross value proposition to customers.
  • Prospect residential customers by promoting Cross internet and phone services.
  • Build a lead pipeline through door-to-door interactions and conduct in-person, phone and/or email follow-up.
  • Update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool with relevant customer information, conversion status and notes.
  • Partner with team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Cross network and technical deployment.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation during the workday.

Preferred:
  • Experience in sales, account management or customer service.
  • Experience in the ISP or telecom industry.
  • Proficiency in lead management software or spreadsheets.
  • Proven track record of strong work ethic, ability to navigate ambiguity, and solid communication skills.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to exert yourself physically over extended periods of time, including frequent bending, kneeling and climbing stairs.
